2012 Entertainment Bands

Albannach
Albannach is Scots-Gaelic for "Scottish" or "Scotsman". That's exactly what we are. Albannach are all born and bred in Scotland and our purpose in life is to share our intriguing culture, history and heritage with you by means of our music. Albannach are not just another Scottish 'Pipes & Drums' band, indeed we bring a new and exciting form of music to your living room. A championship winning piper, an extremely talented main drummer, bass drummers and bodhran musicians bring you a brand new approach to percussion and Celtic music. Our style of music is exciting, energetic and enchanting and we promise to leave you begging for more.

RATHKELTAÍR
RATHKELTAÍR consists of bagpiper Neil Anderson and drummer Nick Watson, two original members of America's ground-breaking Celtic rock supergroup 7 Nations, and guitarist Trevor Tanner, front-man/lead guitarist/songwriter for The Bolshoi, one of the most influential UK rock bands of the late ‘80’s. RATHKELTAÍR can tailor its show to any venue, appearing as a power trio, or as a four-piece (bass guitar) or five-piece (bass guitar & fiddle). The name RATHKELTAÍR comes from drummer Nick Watson, a native of County Down, Northern Ireland. It means "hill of the Celts" and is an ancient archeaological site near the village where Nick grew up.

Searson
SEARSON is Erin, Heather and Colleen Searson, three multi-talented sisters that play a variety of instruments and are all expert step dancers. Piano, organ, fiddle, tenor guitar and bass are all highlighted in their live performances. Acclaimed drummers and percussionists round out the live shows. In 2011, SEARSON toured throughout Canada, the U.S., Ireland, Germany, Denmark and headlined one of the largest music festivals in Europe at Festival Ortiguiera, Spain.

The Hooligans
We are a five member celtic rock band from and around the mountains of Western North Carolina. Influenced by such ground-breaking bands as Seven Nations and Enter the Haggis, we set out to play celtic music that also included our personal tastes. In our music, you're likely hear influences that range from Toto to Bowling For Soup and all points in between. Mix in the haunting sounds of traditional celtic instruments like, the Highland bagpipes, whistles, flute, mandolin and other instruments of the like, and what you get is The Hooligans.

The Wyndbreakers
Florida's own high-tech, low brow, pub rockiní, guitar pickin', neo-traditional, low carb, mandolin wranglin', life changing, blatantly harmoniziní, underpriced, whistle blowing, nearly acoustic, sorta not, traffic stopping, modern retro, flute envying, family oriented yet vaguely bawdy, non-fattening, lactos-friendly, bag pipering, dairy-free, born on the wrong continent, hypo-allergenic, girthy and pretty OK with it, string plucking, frozen snottered, now offering gentle relief, fiddle bowing, tiger taming, Lancelot Linking, bodhran beating, PSAT tutoring, audience interactive, low whistle chiffing, quality goes in before the name goes on, good and I mean it buddy, incessantly rambling, Scottish/Irish/Ceilidh band! Erin agus Alba go bragh! And we do weddings...

Tinker's Dam
Our traveling folk, our “wondering” minstrels, our sword-fighting, bodhran-beating, war-chanting, flask-wielding, purveyors of song and mirth. After extensive travels throughout Ireland, and one rather harrowing detour through South Carolina, they bring us pub songs both old and new, along with six ways to kill a man using only a sharp sword and a pack of digestive biscuits.
